Welcome

New here? Start here.

Walking into a new church takes courage. This page is everything we'd want you to know before you come — and the short version is simple: come as you are, and you'll be welcome.

A Sunday at St. Andrew's

  1. 1

    11:00 AM — Worship

Hymns, prayer, Scripture, and a sermon in our historic sanctuary — about an hour.

  2. 2

    After worship — Fellowship

Stay for coffee and conversation. This is where strangers become friends.

Children & families

Kids are part of the family here

Children are welcome in worship — wiggles and all. Nursery care is available during the 11:00 AM service for our littlest ones.

Greeters at the front door will gladly walk your family to the right rooms and answer any questions. All children's volunteers are trained and screened.

Common questions

I've never been to a Presbyterian church. Will I be lost?
Not at all. Everything you need is printed in the bulletin or announced as we go — when to stand, sing, or simply listen. Our worship follows a familiar pattern: we gather, we hear Scripture and a sermon, we pray, and we're sent out. There's no quiz at the door.
What should I wear?
Whatever is comfortable. You'll see everything from suits to jeans and sneakers on a Sunday morning.
Can I take communion?
Yes. In the Presbyterian Church, the table belongs to Christ, not to our congregation — all who trust in him are welcome, including visitors and members of other churches. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
No. We will greet you warmly and invite you to sign our guest register if you'd like, but you'll never be asked to stand, speak, or identify yourself.
How long is the service?
About an hour. Worship begins at 11:00 AM and typically ends by noon, followed by coffee and conversation in the fellowship hall.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. There is an accessible entrance at ground level, accessible restrooms, and reserved parking near the door. Large-print bulletins are available from any usher.
